This presentation offers several elements of defining social justice, relating to issues such power relationships, access to resources, and efforts to change root causes of social problems.
It then examines attributes of leaders who can promote social justice, including the ability to transform the hearts and minds of others, to bring different actors together, and to be able to work in shifting and complex contexts.
It was prepared to help provoke discussion during a session at the Community Foundations of Canada 2008 Conference "Our Communities, Our Word."
