By Steve Burkeman
In this paper, by Senior Fellow Steven Burkeman, discusses the role of foundations as social justice actors. He focuses on how the role of foundations and state interactions, particularly in the UK, have contributed to creating a more socially equitable society. In his view, foundations cannot be a significant tool for social justice without involvement in state-led strategy. This alliance would create a context in which goverments feel obligated and are enabled to change the culture and climate.
