Joyce Malombe is a senior program officer at Wellspring Advisors, which coordinates grantmaking programs that advance the realization of human rights and social and economic justice for all people.
Prior to joining Wellspring in 2012, Joyce worked as a consultant for several organizations and held numerous positions including Program Officer for Education at ELMA Philanthropies where she started and led programming in nine Southern Countries. Joyce worked with the Ford Foundation International Fellowships Program as Director for Africa and Middle East and Coordinator for Leadership for Social Justice in all 22 Ford Foundation country offices. She additionally served as a Senior Scientist at the World Bank where did a global study on community development foundations. She was also an Associate Professor and Senior Researcher at the Southern New Hampshire University and the University of Nairobi. She served as founder board member for Kenya Community Development Foundation. Joyce has more than 25 years of experience, receiving a BA and MA from the University of Nairobi and a PhD from the University of Western Ontario, Canada.
