Jennifer Brennan is advancing social justice and bridging understanding between indigenous and non-indigenous communities. She has worked within and for indigenous communities throughout Canada for over twenty years, advancing social justice through community engagement, empowerment, and facilitation. As a senior policy advisor and strategist, her areas of expertise include governance, human, indigenous and gender rights, traditional knowledge and environmental protection. She has served as Executive Director of the Samuel Family Foundation.

Ms. Brennan has led the coordination of complex inter-jurisdictional negotiations between state governments and indigenous nations on several key matters including education and land title recognition most recently as Chief of Staff at the Assembly of First Nations. Throughout all aspects of her work, she brings a strong sense of the importance of community participation, consensus building and an overriding commitment to the affirmation and recognition of indigenous rights and community led direction.
