Ferne Mele, Director, Program Planning & Monitoring, joined Synergos in July 2007.
Her previous experience includes ten years as Development Manager at Women’s World Banking, a global network of microfinance institutions and banks dedicated to opening access to financial services for poor women entrepreneurs. In that capacity, Ms. Mele was responsible for relations with government-sector donors and international foundations. A native of Italy, Ms. Mele also worked as a manager in the equity research department at Euromobiliare, an investment firm based in Milan, and as a consultant to IFAP, the management training institute of the IRI group in Rome. Ms. Mele holds a BA in International Relations and Economics from Brown University. She is a Board member of Compagnia de’ Colombari, a theater group based in Orvieto. She speaks English, Italian, French and some Spanish.
