Adéle Wildschut

Adéle Wildschut is Senior Manager, Southern Africa of The Synergos Institute with responsibilities across leadership, cross-sector partnerships, networks and knowledge management programmes of Synergos.

Before joining Synergos in July 2007, she served as a Director of Catholic Welfare and Development, one of the leading community development agencies in Western Cape, South Africa, and heading up the Programme Development Department. She served for five years as the Director of the Centre for Rural Legal Studies, a policy research and advocacy organisation in the field of agrarian and land reform; and was Coordinator of the Surplus People Project before that. She established an organizational development consultancy providing services to the nonprofit and public sectors in the fields of strategic planning; management leadership development; coaching and mentoring leaders and management teams throughout Africa.

She serves on a number of nonprofit boards in South Africa and abroad, and is a human rights activist with a particular leadership role in indigenous peoples' networks.

Ms. Wildschut is a graduate of University of Cape Town (1979) and the Vienna School of International Relations (1986) holding a law undergraduate degree and a Masters in International Relations. Ms. Wildschut is a trained and accredited mediator and arbitrator in the field of labor relations in South Africa.
