Corporate Philanthropy in Mexico: Building Multi-sectoral Collaboration
How can we find better ways for communications and cooperation between business and other sectors of society to improve social development in Mexico?
That is the question being examined in a workshop being organized by Alternativas y Capacidades A.C., the Instituto Tecnológico Autónomo de México (ITAM), the W.K. Kellogg Foundation and CINCO Consultores en Investigación y Comunicación.
The event will take place at ITAM in Mexico City on June 30.
It will begin with panel discussions by speakers including:
- Monica Tapia of Alternativas y Capacidades A.C., who will present findings of a new study on corporate philanthropy in Mexico (learn more about this study)
- Mercedes Poiré of CINCO Consultores en Investigación y Comunicación, who will present findings of a study on the contributions of business to social development in Mexico
- Surita Sandosham of Synergos, who will explore philanthropy and cross-sectoral partnerships
- Felipe Portocarrero of the Univesidad del Pacifico, Peru, who will present comparative perspectives.
The second part of this event will consist of interactive roundtables in which participants will seek to identify opportunities for cross-sectoral collaboration.
