Surita Sandosham

Surita Sandosham is Senior Director, leading Synergos efforts to cultivate inclusive partnerships. She had led the efforts to build and support the existing networks of Synergos which includes the Global Philanthropists Circle, Senior Fellows and Social Innovators. She previously served as Director Partnership for Child Nutrition and was instrumental in building a multi-sectoral partnership in India called Bhavishya Alliance, including being its founding CEO, to address child undernutrition. She is an adjunct lecturer at New York University’s Wagner School of Public Service co-teaching a course on Multi-sector partnerships: A comparative Perspective.

Prior to joining Synergos, Surita worked for the Rockefeller Foundation as Associate Director of Working Communities directing the Next Generation Leadership Program. In addition, Surita has more than a decade of experience working in the nonprofit sector holding senior executive positions in leading international human and civil rights organizations including Lambda Legal Defense Fund, Equality Now, and Amnesty International USA.

Born and raised in Singapore, she holds a degree in history and politics from the London University’s School of Oriental and African Studies and a law degree from City University London. She is a trained barrister, admitted to Gray’s Inn (London) and has practiced law in both Singapore and New York.
